Enforcement Specialist

Permitting Assistant

This position is a critical support role for the Permit Adjudication Branch. The position has two key areas of responsibility:

  • Working with technical staff to track correspondence and post-permit submissions, organize meetings, coordinate travel requirements, and provide overall administrative support to the teams; and
  • Working with Permit Adjudication staff to ensure that a broad array of oil and gas activity application documents and tasks are ready for processed a timely way.

Permit Administration Technician

The Permit Administration Technician (PAT) reviews and makes determination in the administration of a portfolio of Land Act tenures and Forestry Licenses by drafting and implementing new and amended contractual and administrative agreements, conducting detailed analysis, interpreting Acts, Statutes and Regulations, and determining fees.  The PAT reviews and approves applications related to transfers, amalgamations and name changes, including issuing permits under OGAA.

Specialist, Planning and Operations

The Specialist, Planning and Operations plays a key role in planning large scale, complex decommissioning and restoration projects that serve to mitigate financial and environmental risks associated with orphaned sites in British Columbia. The position is integral to the successful application of strategic policy in the planning, development, and implementation of programs involving closure of orphan liability.
