GIS Technical Lead

The GIS Technical Lead position leads the design, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of the Commission’s geospatial infrastructure. This position is responsible for the design, administration, development, testing, validation and maintenance of the Commission’s web-based enterprise geospatial applications. The role also maintains an expert knowledge of current system development life cycle standards.

Legal Services Assistant

The Legal Services Assistant (LSA) position provides administrative and program support services for the Oil and Gas Commission’s Legal and Regulatory Department (L&RD) and to the Internal Audit & Risk Management Department. This position requires a significant amount of independence and the LSA is expected to exercise judgment to organize a high volume of work that impacts different sensitive projects and programs.

Engineer, Safety Oversight

The Engineer, Safety Oversight is part of the Engineering Strategic and Technical Service Branch responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the regulatory oversight system for monitoring and mitigating regulated activity safety risks.  The Safety Regulatory Oversight System will follow a Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle and the incumbent will monitor the system for effectiveness.  The incumbent will apply process safety management principles in the development of the system and will ensure it is aligned and integrated with the Commission’s other systems.

Communications Specialist - Temporary/Full Time (12 Months)

The Communications Specialist is responsible for providing professional communications expertise and a range of communications services. The Specialist prepares a variety of communications products and services, supporting the strategic objectives of the Commission. This position will also assist with developing web content, archiving, content migration and planning a data center for the Commission’s new website.
