Area-based Analysis is program developed by the BC Energy Regulator to evaluate the cumulative effect of resource activity on environmental values in northeast BC. ABA considers the combined effect of all resource activity on different environmental values, to define the level of risk to sensitive areas. Those areas at highest risk of incremental activity are reported as enhanced management and regulatory policy, and require escalated management and mitigations. These ABA datasets provide spatial information for each ABA value, including the area name and the current ABA status. Existing disturbance has been masked from the value.
