Changes to eSubmission on Nov. 1, 2018 in support of implementing Petrinex in BC include the following:
New Completion Events option:
- Completion Events (CEs) and associated Unique Well Identifiers (UWIs) required for the purpose of reporting of monthly volumetric data in Petrinex are now generated in eSubmission by expanding the Well menu and selecting the Completion Events option. This change does not affect the requirement for permit holders to submit Completion/Workover Reports under the Data Submission menu in the Completion/Workover Report option. Any CEs identified in a Completion/Workover Report that do not already exist will continue to be generated by the Commission on a permit holder's behalf, along with the corresponding UWI.
Changes to Injection and Disposal submissions:
- Permit holders are now restricted from making Injection and Disposal submissions for reporting periods Oct 2018 and later in eSubmission. These submissions must be made in Petrinex. The ability to make Injection and Disposal submissions for reporting periods Sep 2018 and earlier remains available in eSubmission.
Changes to Notices of Flare:
- Permit holders are now restricted from reporting flaring volumes in Notices of Flare where the expected start date is prior to Oct. 1, 2018. Volumes flared at a well up to and including Sep. 30, 2018 should be reported as a total amount for each formation in a Notice of Flare in eSubmission. Volumes flared at a well on Oct. 1, 2018 or later must be submitted in Petrinex.
