DATE ISSUED: May 25, 2021

EFFECTIVE DATE: June 1, 2021

The BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) releases regular updates to the Application Management System (AMS) to improve workflow and functionality.

Further to INDB 2021-16, the C&N tab in AMS will be temporarily disabled effective June 1, 2021 for Oil and Gas Activities Act (OGAA) applications and OGAA amendment applications.

To assist applicants with amendment applications during this period, an OGAA Amendment Application Form has been developed and is required to be submitted with OGAA amendment applications, where the C&N tab has been temporarily disabled.

The form includes the following questions to guide proponents with regards to their C&N submission requirements for amendment applications:

  1. Do the activities within this amendment application directly impact land owners?
  2. Do the activities within this amendment include a pipeline?
    1. Does this amendment application qualify for an exemption under s. 31(1.1) of OGAA?
  3. Does this amendment affect rights holders as defined in the Requirements for Consultation and Notification Regulation?

This form is a temporary requirement and will assist applicants in determining when a RCNR Line list and supporting documentation is required for an amendment application. The Amendment Application Form must be uploaded under the Attachments tab as an ‘Other’ document.
