DATE ISSUED: Sept. 7, 2021

EFFECTIVE DATE: Oct. 5, 2021

Over the last three years, the BC Energy Regulator (Regulator) has been working on a multi-phase program to digitize applications in eSubmission. Corporate Name Changes was launched November 2018 and Corporate Amalgamations was launched July 2019. On Oct. 5, 2021 the third phase of this project will be completed and Transfer of Permit applications will be submitted in eSubmission. Permit Transfer Application forms and schedules will be replaced by the new system. The Regulator’s Permit Operations and Administration manual and eSubmission User Guide will be updated in early October to reflect these changes.

In order to ensure applications are processed in a timely manner in both the Regulator’s systems and in Petrinex, all Transfer of Permit applications submitted to the Regulator before Oct. 4, 2021 will be completed with the current non-digitized method. Starting Oct. 5, 2021, the Regulator will begin accepting Transfer of Permit applications in eSubmission.

To access this module in eSubmission, the user is required to have the Asset Transfer Admin. Security role in Kermit. The role is added by the permit holder’s Company Administrator.
