The BC Energy Regulator was a proud supporter of the Fort St. John 2020 B.C. Winter Games.

Our employees work and live in the communities we serve. We're committed to corporate sustainability; which means being a good neighbour and community member, both locally and globally to ensure everyone can fulfil their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment. We're proud to support local charitable organizations, Indigenous communities and post-secondary institutions throughout British Columbia.

The BCER values and supports the communities where our staff work and play.

The BCER encourages higher education by supporting local, post-secondary institutions. So far this year, the Regulator has contributed funds to the following schools:

  • Northern Lights College.
  • Vancouver Island University.
  • Selkirk College.
  • Camosun College.
  • British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
  • University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).
  • The University of British Columbia (UBC)'s Pipeline Integrity Institute and Energy Environment Research Institute.
  • UBC Okanagan.

Additional contributions have allowed for applied research into environmental matters related to oil and gas exploration and development, and further improvement and promotion of operational standards and safe industry practices.
